Strong/Flexible Spine: Best Osteoporosis-Safe Exercises for Your Back

Physical Therapist, Marni Larkin, from GYROTONIC® Manhasset Physical therapy will be teaching us some powerful back strengthening and flexibility exercises. These therapeutic exercises will help you to increase strength, mobility, coordination, and balance. You will learn new ways to perform safe spinal motions including thoracic spine lengthening using the breath as a guide. A strong and flexible spine will give you a sense of ease and well being. Equipment - you will need a sturdy stool / chair with no arms, a Swiffer, ( yes that’s right, the cleaning implement with the flat rectangular base) and a floor that is comfortable to lie down on, with a pillow for your head. You should bring a sense of adventure and discovery to the session!
