Step Training for Agility, Balance, and Bone Strength
Learn to react and transition more rapidly in your daily activities! Everyday agility, like avoiding a stumble, pivoting quickly, or climbing stairs, mirrors the mechanics of step ups. Training this movement helps your body handle sudden directional changes more safely.
How Step Ups Build Agility and Benefit Your Bones:
- Safely build bone with low-impact, weight-bearing exerciseÂ
- Â Load individual legs for unilateral power
- Improve everyday activities with functional movement
- Enhance dynamic balance and core activation
Join us in a live online class as we review the technique and form of the various steps and strength training exercises; then enjoy having it all wrapped up in a workout video that you can do at your own pace and convenience, without expiration.
You will need a step for this class. You can purchase the steps on Amazon. The mini step is good for small spaces and the larger one is similar to the traditional ones used in a step class.
These are the steps Joan recommends:Â Â
For mini step, with 3-5” of height https://amzn.to/3G76yv3 (19.99).
(This is the one Joan will be using)
For longer step with 4-6” inches of height: https://amzn.to/4lOhzQF (39.89)
Also one set of dumbbells, 3# (9.99) or 5# (12.99)
(I recommend 3# to start if you can lift this amount of weight)
Fee includes live class on technique plus recorded video of the workout $32.
